I promised a couple of posts ago to share this little pattern, so in preparation for Christmas (or any other reason you may want a crochet star) here it is:

1. mr5
2. Sl st and ch 4
3. Sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sc into next, hdc in the next and then sl st in the next st of mr
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have a 5 pointed star

So for months I've been trialling different fairy wing ideas for The Book and they have been utter rubbish. Many many hours and a lot of wasted wool later I gave up thinking if I have to include some then they'll have to be boring and awful.  Then Halloween reared it's fancy dress head and I decided to make a pair for me. I can't make them for a fantasy girl but I DEFO know what I would want, and these are they...

I will write up the pattern but it'll be more of a guide than anything so it might end up on here instead of etsy. Keep em peeled xxx
This little collection is based on a brief to make 10 minute Christmas crochet patterns.  I had a pale, shabby chic notion of washed out fairies and rough string baubles (will TOTALLY make those one day) but in 10 minutes? It had to be the classics. So here are crochet robin, crochet Christmas tree, crochet Christmas star and crochet holly each taking no more than it does to make a cup of tea.

They can go on cards, adorn pressies, temporarily take place on your favourite cardie or hang from the tree - versatile little chaps aren't they!  Will put the star pattern here for free shortly and the rest come in a pack at my etsy shop for tuppence.

So the big beast has asked for a complete Captain America crochet collection for this winter, we're talking hat, gloves, leg warmers and shield jumper.  Having dutifully finished up hat it's now onto shield.  Will whizz up the pattern and get it on Etsy asap x

Easy peasy little number this one:

Ch 24,
Sc in each st for 9 rows,
Loop on white and go round edges, when you get to top corner ch8, sk 3 and then carry on crocheting,
Stitch bottom corners together
Sew on a button...

Free crochet cup warmer pattern, ta da!
